Ciù Ciù WINERY
The Azienda Agricola Ciù Ciù produces highly-regarded biological wines, both DOC and DOCG, in and around the town of Offida, 50 minutes (45 km) from Agriturismo Piccolo Pony. Its vineyards are located outside of the town center but it has its wine-tasting showroom in Piazza del Popolo, in the heart of Offida. Ciù Ciù also produces excellent extra-virgin olive oil. www.ciuciuvini.it Contact: 0736 618024 While in Offida, wander around its medieval streets and you will see ladies still producing their famous bobbin lace. You should also not miss the chance to visit its museum and its church of Santa Maria della Rocca (contact guide Edmea 388 7452170). Another must is the church of Sant’Agostino, located in the main square. Go downstairs to enjoy the Grotto of Lourdes as well as an enormous and captivating Neapolitan nativity scene. THIS IS A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DAY TRIP. You may want to consider combining this excursion with a visit to Le Capre di Capradosso which is located 23 minutes (17 km) prior to arriving in Offida.
